Shobu and other ship passengers reach a sea-surrounded city designated as the tournament venue. A masked man broadcasts the rules to the entire island, stating that participants have three Duel Orbs on their chests and must duel to wager them. The first player to collect five Duel Orbs wins. An unexpected condition requires every player to combine the top 20 cards from their Slash Decks with their standard 40-card Decks. Shobu must navigate these unorthodox rules and intense duels to determine if he will be the final survivor of the competition.
