Following a battle with Helcats, Van learns that zoid hunters are stealing sleeper zoids now that the war has ended. A battalion was taken recently, and the hunters capture a sleeper Rev Raptor hiding in Van’s location. Thomas attempts to intervene but is incapacitated by a familiar Command Wolf on the hunting team. The hunters return to base with their prize. Van escapes the Rev Raptor and infiltrates the Whale King to investigate, but is spotted and captured by Irvine. He is imprisoned while Irvine checks on him. Meanwhile, Thomas is left stranded in a remote area with no support.
