Tess works as a maid at a resort hotel and meets a dark-haired man in the bar, where they share a brief, intense encounter. Expecting a fleeting connection, she leaves him the next day, intending to never meet again. Months later, she learns she is pregnant. The man is later revealed to be a well-known film producer. After careful consideration, Tess contacts him with the news. Her visit to his home is met with hostility and unfriendly treatment.
