Hadashi no Tenshi

A shoemaker in contemporary England encounters a young man named Benny, who appears to be homeless and claims to have once been an angel. On a cold winter day, the shoemaker, moved by Benny's condition, offers him shelter. As their relationship develops, the shoemaker wants to create a pair of shoes for Benny, who is earnestly trying to understand human life. Benny stays with the shoemaker for the duration of the shoemaking process, which spans several months. The story explores whether their living arrangement will continue once the shoes are finished.
