A remote mountain town of 6,000 people observes a strict nightly curfew enforced by a bell that rings at 6 PM. Residents remain indoors until sunrise, adhering to an unspoken rule. When a young man returns after a decade away, he disobeys the curfew, prompting the appearance of a terrifying entity known as Myoudo-sama, which takes its first victim.
