Kenen.

A village called Mitsuke is under the control of a creature named Mashira, who is part human and part ape. The creature demands that the villagers offer a young girl as a sacrifice at a shrine to the god Tenjin. A monk named Benzon travels to the Kouzen-ji temple for assistance and brings back Hayate, a renowned exorcist dog, to confront the creature. Their plan to trap the being fails when Mashira chooses to take Hayate in as a companion. This leads to a complex and unstable relationship between the two supernatural beings.
