Kodokuna Shima
孤独な島
A one-shot from the May 1968 issue of Garo includes two distinct narratives. In one, a castaway stranded on an island with his wife and four children imagines ways to escape their isolated situation. The second story, set during the Edo period, features a city official who observes a woman lose her hair comb, only for a basket-carrying priest to retrieve it first. The official then begins following the priest to the woman's home.
