Losers: Nihon Hatsu no Shuukan Seinen Manga-shi no Tanjou
ルーザーズ~日本初の週刊青年漫画誌の誕生~
In 1965 Japan, manga was largely seen as entertainment for children. Within a modest publishing office on the upper floor of a worn wooden building, a group of men worked to develop a new kind of manga. Fumito “Bunjin” Shimizu, the editor-in-chief of *Manga Story* magazine, retrieved the first issue of an amateur fanzine from the trash. One of the individuals who contributed to it was Kazuhiko Katou, who would eventually be recognized under the pen name “Monkey Punch.” This event marked a turning point in their shared journey.
