A 10-year-old boy and his friend encounter a dying man in an alley who reveals that the boy's father committed a famous bank heist. The man urges the children to "never trust anyone" before dying. The boy's friend makes him promise to keep the secret. Shortly after, the boy's father is found dead, and he is placed with his friend's family.
