A continuation of the Total Eclipse manga by Ishigaki Takashi, this re-adaptation follows events after a devastating six-year Lunar War in 1973, when an alien species known as the BETA invades Earth, killing billions and destroying much of Eurasia. With surviving nations working to develop a new tactical surface fighter in Alaska, a skilled but difficult pilot named Yuuya is transferred from the US military to a joint US and Japanese project. There, he encounters Yui, an imperial soldier, and the two initially clash as adversaries. Yuuya also meets Cryska, a Soviet soldier who appears emotionally distant.
