A terrorist group has claimed independence at the South Pole and deployed powerful nitrogen bombs along various coastlines, including three near Japan, set to detonate in ten days. The bombs were not successfully disarmed by the US, leaving Japan's bomb disposal team to act. The team has access to Machida Machiko, a young prodigy, who is supervised by Aranagi Nagito, a trainee bomb defuser. Machiko has formed an agreement with Nagito and the head of the bomb disposal program to neutralize the bombs and eliminate the threat. However, following complications during their first mission, they may only have a defusing program created by Machiko to rely on. The team must determine if they can use this tool to prevent the bombs from detonating and halt the terrorists' plans.
