Hareta, raised by Pokémon in the wild, possesses abilities such as climbing, swimming, and eating bark like various Pokémon species. After being recruited by Professor Rowan, he begins his journey as a Pokémon Trainer with Piplup and his friend Mitsumi. Their goal is to find the legendary Pokémon Dialga. However, Team Galactic is also seeking Dialga, and Hareta and Piplup must confront them to stop their plans. Additional stories include encounters with Deoxys, a tale involving Shaymin, Mitsumi's personal story, a return to Hareta's forest home, and a glimpse into Hareta's future.
