Ayu Tateishi, a quiet student, befriends Nina Sakura at school, unaware that Nina is a trainee witch. Nina's magical abilities are weak, and her spells frequently backfire, causing awkward and embarrassing incidents for Ayu. The situation becomes more complicated when Nina's failed magic draws the attention of a boy Ayu secretly likes. Frustrated by the unintended consequences, Ayu seeks a love potion to resolve the issue. Instead, she ends up with a clumsy but well-meaning friend who struggles to pass her witch training.
