Yoichi to Tsugumo

A young fox spirit named Tsugumo was reborn after dying as a cub with the purpose of becoming a god, though he remains inexperienced and unaware of the world's realities. He is taken in by Yoichi, a tanuki and guardian deity of the forest. Due to his inexperience, Tsugumo misinterprets Yoichi's kindness as affection and confesses his feelings. Yoichi, who has spent much of his life tending to the forest, has not experienced love for a long time and considers whether this might be an opportunity to reconnect with emotions he once thought beyond his reach.
