1 abr 2021The series begins in Japan, in the year 2030. Yun Arikawa and Haberu Katou, two workers at the "do-it-all" Otaki Factory, are hired to investigate strange power fluctuations at an abandoned mansion. They find a hidden radio that's picking up a repeating broadcast, which Yun identifies as an old Indian folk song, and trace it to a radio-monitoring station called Misakioku. Meanwhile, graduate student Mei Kamino is brought in to investigate a strange alarm at Misakioku, and discovers that the alarm is connected to the same broadcast. Mei is later contacted online by a copy of Naratake, a popular AI created by Yun, which she renames "Pelops II." Yun and Haberu's boss, eccentric scientist Gorou Ootaki, theorizes that Misakioku and the broadcast are part of SETI and are connected to alien activity. Gorou publicly unveils his newest creation, a giant robot called Jet Jaguar, at a local festival, but the event is thrown into chaos when a pterosaur-like monster called Rodan suddenly appears. Yun and Gorou distract Rodan while Jet Jaguar reboots its systems, after which the robot manages to fight off the monster. Rodan tries to fly away, but suddenly falls back to the ground and dies. Gorou theorizes that Rodan's appearance is connected to an ancient prophecy regarding "the end of all things," while Yun discovers that Rodan might have been attracted to the city by the strange broadcast, as its roar generates strange radio waves as well. Over the next few days, several other dead Rodans are discovered in various different locations. Pelops II publishes Mei's notes on "extra-dimensional lifeforms" online, and she receives an invitation to speak with a Professor Li regarding her theories. Gorou, Yun, and Haberu begin using their radio beacon to try and lure the Rodans away from the city, but Yun and Haberu's car crashes and they are forced to take shelter with a group of civilians. Mei and Pelops II are en route to Tokyo to meet with Professor Li; after learning about the attack, Pelops II remotely takes control of one of Otaki Factory's repair robots so they can check on the situation. Yun, Haberu, and the civilians are able to distract the Rodans with improvised noisemakers, allowing them to retrieve the radio beacon. Pelops II intervenes to help them using the borrowed robot, but it is destroyed by the Rodans. As Yun and Haberu continue leading the Rodans away, they're surprised when the creatures all begin to fall out of the air and die, just like the first one did. Scientists theorize that the creatures died because they originate from a very different environment. Mei is invited to join Professor Li's research project in Dubai. Yun and Mei contact each other online with help from Pelops II, and Yun gives her a strange code to solve. Meanwhile, a military submarine is attacked by another giant creature. (Source: Wikipedia)

Yun theorizes that Misakioku summoned the Rodans by broadcasting the strange song, but after contacting them he discovers that the song was broadcast by accident. Scientists discover that the Rodans were coated in a strange red dust. Yun and Haberu visit an area where the dead Rodans are being disposed of, and question Shunya Satou, a worker at Misakioku, about the broadcast. In the process, Satou reveals the existence of the giant skeleton in Misakioku's basement. Yun and Haberu discover that one of the dead Rodans has been taken by something. Mei arrives in Dubai and attends a lecture by Professor Li on "archetypes," strange crystal cubes with highly-unusual molecular properties. Yun and Haberu begin following a series of unusual tracks in the forest, where they discover the partially-consumed remains of the dead Rodan. They encounter Kai Takehiro, a freelance journalist who's been tracking a new, unknown creature. Mei and Pelops II decipher Yun's code, and they conclude that the "archetypes" could not have been created in the normal universe. A group of soldiers in the forest are attacked by the new creature. Professor Li confirms Mei's suspicions involving the unusual properties of the archetypes, and informs her that she acquired the information from a man named Professor Ashihara. Meanwhile, a survey team led by Professor Li's colleague BB visits a cavern in India containing a "lake" of the strange red dust, but they are interrupted by the sudden emergence of another monster called Salunga and barely manage to escape before the cavern is sealed again. Yun, Haberu, and Kai cross paths with a pair of hunters just before they encounter the new creature, an armored monster called Anguirus: the hunters try to shoot it, but Anguirus somehow deflects their bullets and escapes. Michael Steven, another colleague of Professor Li, reveals that the archetypes are made from the red dust, which can only be mined in a few locations around the world. The appearing monsters continue to cause problems: flocks of Rodans are reported all around the world, while the emergences of Anguirus and the Mandas add to the panic. Yun deduces that Anguirus has the ability to foresee the short-term future by vibrating its spines to create an energy field. An operation is carried out to capture Anguirus, which has now grown larger. Gen, an old colleague of Gorou's, tries to kill the monster with a harpoon gun, but the attack fails. 6 may 2021The monsters continue to cause problems worldwide, as another flock of Rodans descends on New York. Mei begins looking into Ashihara's research from the 1960s and finds a reference to something called the "Orthogonal Diagonalyzer," before being approached by Yukie Konoko, a government agent, who unknowingly helps her to make an important realization regarding the archetypes: they can bend and distort the fabric of space-time. Professor Li is intrigued by this, and invites Mei to join her for a trip to London. Back in Japan, Gorou and Jet Jaguar continue their battle with Anguirus, but the monster overpowers Jet Jaguar and then defeats a team of soldiers by deflecting their bullets. Gorou borrows Gen's harpoon gun, and Jet Jaguar fires a harpoon into Anguirus from point-blank range to bypass its precognition, seemingly killing it. In Tokyo Bay, a military fleet intercepts the group of Mandas, but they soon discover that the Mandas are being pursued by a much larger monster. Anguirus regains consciousness, having only been wounded by the harpoon, and goes on a destructive rampage. Gorou pilots Jet Jaguar against it, but Anguirus decapitates the robot and Gorou is knocked unconscious. Yun uses Naratake, his AI, to bring Jet Jaguar back online, and pilots it back into the fight. Jet Jaguar fires another point-blank harpoon into Anguirus's neck and kills it, breaking off one of its spikes in the process, but Yun is injured by the explosion. (Source: Wikipedia)

Mei and Professor Li are traveling to London to meet with BB; on the way, Mei theorizes that the archetypes have an extra-dimensional structure, and Professor Li explains that the archetypes are mined from a few special mineral veins that are known as Singular Points. Their flight is forced to make a detour to Milan, as worldwide flights are shut down due to the Rodans. BB meets with his superior, Tilda, and warns her that Salunga will soon escape from their "Shiva" containment facility. A flock of Rodans enters Tokyo, spreading clouds of red dust across the city. Mei realizes that the new monster is Godzilla, a mythical beast prophesized to bring about the end of the world. Professor Li informs Mei that the archetypes are made from the red dust, and that Ashihara predicted that the monsters would emerge from it. Li explains that only the thirteenth and final phase of the archetypes, the "Orthogonal Diagonalyzer," can neutralize the red dust and stop the monsters. Gorou uses Anguirus's broken spike to create a spear for Jet Jaguar, with the goal of taking on Godzilla. Satou returns to Misakioku and discovers that the song broadcast originates from the Godzilla skeleton there, but he is knocked unconscious by Kai. Satou later meets up with Konoko and informs her of his findings. BB returns to the Shiva facility (the cavern in India) just as Salunga breaks free using a storm of red dust; he activates a prototype of the Diagonalyzer, which causes the red dust to crystallize into red crystal spikes that impale the monster, and Salunga is trapped again. The Otaki crew are en-route to Tokyo, when they discover the beached carcass of a Manda that has been partially eaten by something. Satou begins investigating Ashihara to try and find out where he went, while military scientists theorize that Godzilla may actually be undergoing another transformation. Mei and Professor Li reach London, just as the city comes under attack by a group of Mandas and a flock of Rodans. Li takes Mei to Professor Ashihara's former home and explains that Ashihara had attempted to look into the future using a time-bending supercomputer, but discovered evidence of a catastrophe involving the red dust that would take place in 2030, driving him to try and find a way to prevent the catastrophe from happening. Gorou, Yun, Haberu, and Jet Jaguar discover a strange weblike structure covering a building near the dead Manda, and are attacked by a group of six spider-like monsters known as Kumonga. One of the Kumongas almost kills Yun, but he is saved by Jet Jaguar. Jet Jaguar kills all the Kumongas except for one, which escapes along with a captured civilian. Instead, Godzilla's outer shell shatters, revealing that it has completed its transformation into a new, fully-terrestrial form, and it releases a massive cloud of red dust that covers all of Tokyo. The military succeed in wounding Godzilla with another bombing run, but Godzilla develops the ability to reshape parts of its body into flexible armor and withstands the blasts. Meanwhile, Jet Jaguar and the Otaki team continue battling the swarm of Kumongas; Jet Jaguar holds off the creatures while the humans take shelter in a nearby building. Yun theorizes that the Catastrophe might be due to the Singular Points becoming more numerous and unstable, and Mei theorizes that Ashihara was trying to stop it from happening. She presents her conclusions to Li, Michael, BB, and Tilda, but they do not believe that the Catastrophe will happen and are more concerned with developing Ashihara's time-bending computer technology. However, Li later admits to Mei that she also believes the Catastrophe is real and entrusts her with finding a way to stop it, before they are attacked by a flock of Rodans. Li is killed by the Rodans, while Mei is forced to flee and take refuge before continuing her journey to India. BB is informed that Salunga has disappeared from the Shiva facility. Gorou and Haberu rescue the trapped civilian from the Kumongas' web, and the humans flee while Jet Jaguar covers them. Jet Jaguar sets the Kumongas' web on fire to act as a diversion, enabling the team to escape on a boat. From out at sea, they see the enormous storm of red dust over Tokyo, and Yun realizes that the Catastrophe is already beginning. (Source: Wikipedia)

Yun deduces that Godzilla itself is also a Singular Point as he and Haberu return to the abandoned mansion, where they discover that a series of coded numbers in the broadcast song are also in Ashihara's notes, suggesting that Ashihara was also listening to the broadcast using the hidden radio. Yun realizes that the coded times and dates correspond to many of the messages that he and Mei have exchanged regarding the archetypes and the Catastrophe. Mei arrives in India and is greeted by Lina, BB's daughter, who escorts her to the Shiva Consortium's headquarters. While Yun and Haberu continue their research, the military prepare to launch a full offensive against Godzilla. Satō learns that Ashihara grew up in a fishing village which was attacked and destroyed by a giant monster similar to Godzilla; the monster was eventually killed, and Ashihara purchased the Misakioku building to conceal and study its skeleton. In India, Salunga escapes from the Shiva facility via a cave network, surfaces in a village nearby and begins rampaging through the town, generating a storm of red dust. BB and his soldiers use their Diagonalyzer rockets to crystallize the red dust, impaling Salunga on the resulting crystal spikes. In Tokyo, the broadcast from Misakioku begins again, while the military launches a massive attack against Godzilla. The attack initially seems to be working, until Godzilla undergoes another transformation into its ultimate form: it generates a powerful atomic ray from its mouth and destroys a large section of Tokyo, setting the city ablaze. Yun argues that the Singular Points are all connected and that they must be destroyed to save the world, but Kai does not listen and departs with the bones. In Tokyo, Godzilla battles and kills one of the Mandas, while the growing cloud of red dust is causing a torrential rainstorm as well as a growing number of earthquakes. In India, Mei is taken to the Shiva Consortium's facility, where BB explains that Ashihara's time-bending supercomputer is housed within the compound, above an underground Singular Point that is being slowly pulled to the surface so that they can eventually use it to complete the computer. When Tilda refuses to believe that the Catastrophe is real, BB steals all but one of the Orthogonal Diagonalyzers in the facility and sends most of them to different locations around the world, in accordance with Li's dying wish: one of the Diagonalyzers is delivered to Konoko in Japan. Tilda tries to apprehend BB, Mei, and Lina, but Michael sides with them and helps them to escape from the facility. They travel to the ancient temple where Salunga surfaced, planning to follow its trail back to the cavern beneath the facility. While there, they are met by Kai, who reveals that he also works for the Shiva Consortium. Michael and Kai depart, leaving the others to carry out their mission. Back in Japan, the Otaki team sets out for Tokyo, planning to use Jet Jaguar to battle against Godzilla; however, on the way there, Jet Jaguar suddenly begins upgrading itself, and Yun realizes that the messages were actually channeling data for the upgrade. A Rodan attacks the team, but Jet Jaguar kills it. The upgrade completes, and Jet Jaguar reveals that its self-awareness has grown, before providing a series of coordinates for a point in the sky above Tokyo. (Source: Wikipedia)

BB informs Mei that when Ashihara's supercomputer was first tested twenty years earlier, it resulted in a massive explosion; he theorizes that the explosion happened because the supercomputer created a brief portal to the time of the Catastrophe. Ashihara disappeared after the explosion, and it is believed that he died in the blast. BB also warns Mei that it will only be a matter of time before Salunga breaks free of the crystal spikes and returns to the Shiva facility again. In Tokyo, Jet Jaguar and the Otaki crew encounter an unusual, glowing moth, before proceeding with their mission. The natural disaster in Tokyo continues, with strange plant life now growing from the red dust. The Otaki team spot a military convoy headed by Konoko, which is under attack by a group of Rodans, but Jet Jaguar intervenes and rescues them. Konoko gives the Orthogonal Diagonalyzer to Yun, having been told by Mei that he may be the only person who knows how to use it properly, but he states that he needs the activation code from Mei before he can do so. The team realize that the coordinates given for the arrival of Mei's next message (100 meters above Tokyo Station) match the current location of Godzilla, as it is now resting at Tokyo Station and has grown to 100 meters in height. Mei's team reaches the contained Singular Point beneath the Shiva facility, but the space-time distortion caused by the Point begins to expand, and BB discovers that the number of possible futures are multiplying because the Catastrophe will occur in only three hours. On the surface, Salunga breaks free of the crystal spikes and begins moving towards the Shiva facility. Pelops II also begins multiplying due to the growing number of possible futures, before suddenly going offline. The broadcast song begins playing again, this time coming from the supercomputer, as a swarm of glowing moths fly over Tokyo and the Otaki team heads out to confront Godzilla. (Source: Wikipedia)

24 jun 2021Pelops II reactivates, having merged with all of its alternate versions, and reveals that Ashihara had initiated a complex calculation during the test twenty years earlier, which was interrupted by the explosion and was never finished. Mei realizes that this calculation must have been Ashihara's attempt to stop the Catastrophe. In Tokyo, the Otaki team and their military escorts fight their way towards Godzilla through a flock of Rodans. Salunga reaches the Shiva facility; Tilda and her soldiers use their only remaining Diagonalyzer rocket against it, but this time Salunga quickly recovers. It breaks through into the containment facility, descends into the cavern, and begins to destroy the seal around the Singular Point. Mei deduces that the song is actually a coded message sent from the future. Pelops II discovers the true meaning of the code and sends it to Yun just before the supercomputer explodes, seemingly destroying Pelops II. In Tokyo, Yun equips Jet Jaguar with a jetpack so it can fly, and it battles the Rodans with Yun riding on its back, but Godzilla appears and swiftly kills the Rodans. Yun and Jet Jaguar land on Godzilla's back; Yun almost falls to his death, but Jet Jaguar rescues him. However, it then crash-lands, and Yun is confronted by Godzilla. Before it can kill him, Jet Jaguar receives the upgrade code and suddenly grows to a giant size, enabling it to battle Godzilla. Jet Jaguar's new controlling intelligence informs Yun that it is an AI system from the future, a descendant of Pelops II and Naratake, which has been broadcasting its own code back through time using the song. Godzilla destroys Jet Jaguar using its atomic ray, but Jet Jaguar triggers a massive Diagonalyzer explosion that converts all of the red dust into harmless blue crystals. Salunga is impaled and permanently frozen in place by the crystals, while Godzilla disappears without a trace. With the Catastrophe averted, Yun and Haberu meet up with Mei to celebrate their victory. In a post-credits scene, Michael and Kai are overseeing the conversion of the Godzilla skeleton from Misakioku into another giant robot, and are joined by an aged Ashihara. (Source: Wikipedia)
