In the Queen match, Inokuma commits a double fault at the end, giving Shinobu the win and a third consecutive Queen title. Suou's past is explained. He lives with his extended family at a young age and grew particularly close to his aunt Yukiko. It was explained that Suou came into contact with karuta in university, and subsequently learned that he has the same affliction as Yukiko. As the affliction worsens, it will end with blindness. Motivated by Yukiko to make something of himself, Suou became the Meijin using his gift. Back in the forth round, Harada-sensei takes the lead, but Suou catches up as the round progresses and the unique syllables change.
