قسمت 1: شین و پیائو به عنوان همراهان شمشیرزنی تمرین می‌کنند تا اینکه پیائو وارد کاخ می‌شود و شین را در پشت سر خود رها می‌کند.

The first episode basically introduces us to Xin and Piao, two slaves who have grown as sword training buddies and pseudo brothers with a common dream of growing up to be great generals. One day whilst training, Piao gets selected to by a minister to enter the palace as an aid, leaving Xin behind. A month later, Piao appears in front of Xin at death’s door with a cryptic instruction and the news of a coup d’etat happening in the palace fronted by the King’s little brother. Xin then runs away following Piao instructions and a map that leads him to a shed which contains a second Piao. (Source: Kingdom Wikia)
