Two students at Rettoran Magic Academy, Kurumi and Yuzu, aspire to become magicians but are rejected from a specialized training class after failing their entrance exam. Kurumi is an ordinary girl with a somewhat innocent nature, and Yuzu comes from a prominent family of magicians. Their prospects appear bleak until their new homeroom teacher, Minami Suzuki, arrives and changes the course of their fortunes.
