Gauche Suede is preparing for a major career advancement after completing one final delivery. His assignment takes him to the outskirts of Yodaka, a perilous region in Amberground. There, he discovers that his package is not an object but a child named Lag Seeing. Lag has been deeply affected by his mother's disappearance and is to be sent to live with his aunt. As they travel through the hazardous area filled with Gaichuu, Lag begins to take interest in becoming a Letter Bee.
