In 2105 A.D. Japan, humanoid androids known as hiE are integrated into daily life, performing tasks both possible and impossible for humans. Endou Arato, who feels compassion for hiE despite their status as mere objects, contrasts with his friends Kenko and Ryou, who harbor hostility toward them. One night, Arato is attacked by strange falling cherry blossoms that cause hiE and machines to behave erratically. As he faces this crisis, a mysterious hiE named Lacia may offer him salvation. The story includes events from the final stage of the series.
