Choujuu Giga

A Studio Ghibli animated short based on the traditional Japanese artwork known as the Choujuu Giga was created for a Marubeni Power commercial. The commercial, titled "Encounter," promotes Plan G, an electricity option for homes introduced as Japan's power industry becomes deregulated. The name of the plan combines "Ghibli" and "green." The initiative aims to support the national trust for "Totoro's Forest," supply energy to the Ghibli Museum, and encourage environmental conservation.
