Ken Hayabusa competes in mixed rally and endurance races driving a car built by his father, Engineer Hayabusa, who also designed the Hayabusa Special engine. He races for the Sayong team and faces intense competition from the Black Shadow team, particularly its enigmatic leader, Ayabe Mobil Dick. The members of Black Shadow frequently try to eliminate Ken and his teammates through unethical means. In the final race, Ken defeats Ayabe, ensuring victory for his team.
