Three years before Pain's attack on the Hidden Leaf, Naruto trains in preparation for the Chuunin Exam's final rounds when he hears Jiraiya speak of "the Fourth Hokage's legacy". Using information from Guy, Naruto, Sakura and Team 10 head to the Honegami Grounds, where they are instructed by a disguised Guy to enter and complete the obstacle course and obtain the Secret Technique.
