Onodera Ritsu begins a new job at Marukawa Shoten after moving from his father's publishing company. He is placed in the shoujo manga department, where he meets Takano Masamune, the division's editor-in-chief. Their initial encounter is tense, marked by an unexpected kiss from Takano. This interaction reveals a deeper connection: Takano is also known as Saga, Ritsu's former high school senior and first love. Ritsu had believed Saga had manipulated his feelings before ending their relationship after a confession.
