Tetsuwan Atom (1980)

A scientist builds a robot modeled after his late son, believing it to be a perfect replacement, but soon realizes it cannot fill the void left by his child. The robot is later taken to a circus in America, where he is rescued by another doctor and placed under his protection. Given a new identity, the robot becomes a hero in Japan who fights crime, though his peaceful nature and youthful innocence often conflict with the violent nature of his duties.
