Sachie Wakamura is dealing with the loss of her mother when her estranged grandfather suddenly appears to care for her. Unbeknownst to her, he leads a yakuza organization. Struggling to adjust, Sachie attempts to maintain her regular routine. However, a popular student at her school, who is part of her grandfather's gang, becomes her assigned protector. His identity as a gang member remains a secret from their classmates. As Sachie grows closer to her bodyguard, feelings develop between them. Yet, their relationship is complicated by the fact that he is bound by loyalty to her grandfather and cannot openly express his emotions. Sachie must navigate her new family dynamics and find a way to pursue a relationship while adjusting to her unexpected new reality.
