Digimon Chronicle

This story was part of the 2004 Digimon product line and was initially thought to be a new manga replacing V-Tamer 01. It ended up being a prose narrative included in booklets with the "Pendulum X" digital pets. Each booklet also had a six-page manga, with four chapters released alongside different versions of the Pendulum X. The narrative centers on a Digital World governed by a computer named Yggdrasil, which, overwhelmed by the growing number of Digimon, initiated the Digital Hazard. Yggdrasil then created a new Digital World with three layers—Urd, Versandi, and Skuld—and launched Project Ark and the X Program to remove unwanted Digimon. In response, some Digimon developed the X-Antibody, which enhanced them and made them resistant to the X Program. Yggdrasil deployed the Royal Knights to maintain order, and three humans—Kouta, Yuuji, and Shinji—entered the Digital World, meeting their partner Digimon. Kouta and Yuuji opposed Yggdrasil and the Royal Knights, while Shinji aligned with Yggdrasil.
