Sanshirou²

Sugata Sanshirou trains in martial arts in the wilderness, becoming highly skilled. After learning of a long-standing promise from his grandfather, he travels to the city to meet his fiancée, a girl also named Sanshirou. Toyotomi Sanshirou, a city-dweller with some martial arts training, initially sees her arrival as a way to escape his responsibilities at the family dojo. However, he soon discovers that Sugata is not only a girl but also a formidable fighter, stronger than anyone at the dojo. She is determined to fulfill her role as the wife of the dojo’s heir, which complicates the expectations of both families.
