A seismic event 22 years ago elevated the Yokohama district into the sky, isolating it from the rest of Japan. Some of the children born there later developed unique abilities tied to their personalities, becoming known as Alters. These individuals caused widespread chaos, but the city has since begun to rebuild. Alters are now divided between those aligned with HOLY, an organization promoting order and morality, and those seeking dominance over non-powered humans. Kazuma, a self-interested Alter, protects an orphan named Kanami while distrusting both factions. Unbeknownst to him, he might be crucial to achieving peaceful coexistence.
