A wealthy man from Chiba Prefecture, Kujukuri Gosaku, founded a professional baseball team called the Chiba Pirates, featuring top players from the region. However, due to Gosaku's excessive spending, the team faced financial difficulties and its management declined. As a result, the team fell to the bottom of the rankings. Despite the challenges, the remaining players remain hopeful and committed, though climbing out of last place seems distant.
