Kyon discovers a bookmark from the robotic version of Nagato, prompting a journey through time that revisits events from the earlier short story "Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody." The narrative draws comparisons to classic holiday stories like *A Christmas Carol* and *It’s a Wonderful Life*. The tale includes a prologue and epilogue.
