A boy named Kimihiro Watanuki experiences visions of ghosts and spirits and turns to a woman named Yuko for help. She agrees to assist him but requires him to work in exchange for her services. Watanuki ends up working in Yuko’s shop, encountering increasingly strange occurrences and unusual customers.
