Long ago, alien entities arrived on Earth and merged with humans, resulting in beings known as Mecha-ude due to their mechanical limb-like appearance. Hikaru Amatsuga, an ordinary middle schooler, is paired with Arma, a rare and unique Mecha-ude, through no choice of his own. To safeguard Arma, the resistance group ARMS sends Aki Murasame, a dual Mecha-ude user, to accompany Hikaru. Aki is also on the trail of a dangerous Snake-Type Mecha-ude user responsible for harming her allies. Meanwhile, the Kagami Group seeks the legendary "Trigger Arm," a Mecha-ude rumored to provide limitless power. When Aki faces danger from this organization, Hikaru and Arma must work together to defend her, leading Hikaru into a life far from normal.
