SLAM DUNK

A new student at Shohoku High, Hanamichi Sakuragi, is known for being tall, having bright red hair, and being rejected by many girls in middle school. One day, a girl named Haruko Akagi approaches him and asks if he likes basketball. Instantly smitten, Hanamichi claims to love the sport and follows her to the gym, where he experiences a slam dunk for the first time. There, he also learns about Rukawa, another freshman at the school and a highly regarded basketball talent.
