Faust

A scholar named Faust feels his studies are meaningless and cannot achieve his goals. The devil Mephisto appears and offers assistance in exchange for Faust's soul, which Faust agrees to. Mephisto transforms Faust into a young man, and he goes to the town where he meets Princess Margarete, who has been reborn as an angel. The King demands Faust find the most beautiful goddess, Helen. Faust and Mephisto travel to the Hartz Mountains, a place where devils gather on Walpurgis Night. Mephisto has been causing destruction, leading to God's order that Faust be sent to hell.
