He made his full directorial debut with the release of [Honey and Clover II](https://anilist.co/anime/1142/Hachimitsu-to-Clover-II/) in 2006, after which he directed [Idolmaster: Xenoglossia](https://anilist.co/anime/1694/Idolmster-Xenoglossia/) in 2007, and [Toradora!](https://anilist.co/anime/4224/Toradora/) in 2008. He has also directed the spin-off series of [Toaru Majutsu no Index](https://anilist.co/anime/4654/Toaru-Majutsu-no-Index/), respectively named [Toaru Kagaku no Railgun](https://anilist.co/anime/6213/Toaru-Kagaku-no-Railgun/), which released in 2009.
