Word of the Shin-Oh's sudden death on the way back to the palace has spread, and everyone mourns for the death of their beloved Shin-Oh. And as tradition states, Princess Seimiyah must take the throne. But Seimiyah is not sure if she is ready, and battles with her inner demons. Shunan comes to the Royal Capital and talks with Seimiyah, but Seimiyah stubbornly refuses. Not knowing of Erin or Ia-lu's knowledge of the truth, Seimiyah believes that it was the Grand Duke's Tohda that killed her grandmother.
