A bunch of Ivysaur are causing chaos throughout Vermilion City, and Professor Cerise sends Ash and Goh to investigate. While learning the cause of the trouble, they not only learn more about each other but also clash with Team Rocket, who are now using Pokéballs supplied by Giovanni via a Pelipper that arrives whenever they call it.
