Naofumi leads his party to the capital for holy water to heal Raphtalia, and come across a blue haired girl named Melty with some Filorials who quickly befriends Filo. Later, Filo brings Melty to Naofumi who asks to accompany them to the capital. Once there, Filo and Melty go on their own trip while Naofumi and Raphtalia go the the Capital Church. In the church, the clergy visibly discriminate Naofumi as Shield Hero, but the Pope cordially complies with his request. Soon after, Naofumi encounters Motoyasu who learned that he has a new slave and struck but her cuteness, demands him to free her. Once Naofumi refuses, he starts attacking him with no care for their surroundings, with Malty permitting it, until Melty arrives and orders them to stop, and Filo, revealing herself as both Naofumi's new companion and his Filolial stead, kicks Motoyasu away. At the weapon-smith's shop, Melty explains to Naofumi and the others that she is the second princess who was made heir apparent by the queen due to her sister's personality. But before she can ask for help, Naofumi states his distrust towards the royals and rudely dismiss her. (Source: aphroditenet)
