The four arrive at the village—a network of caves in the mountain—but the villagers deny knowing about the blue dragon. Yona gets separated from the group and is taken deeper into the caves by a villager, who secretly intends to harm her. She is rescued by the masked blue dragon, but he runs away shortly after. As a child, he was feared by the villagers for the power of his eyes to paralyze those who see them.
