Ochou Fujin no Gensou

A devoted Japanese woman resides in Nagasaki, awaiting the return of her American spouse. When she spots the American flag on a distant ship, she believes he has come back to her. Instead, he arrives with his new Western wife, leading to her tragic death. The production uses Japanese silhouette animation to adapt its source material effectively.
