This is My House

An adolescent boy lives in a house on fire with his parents. He refuses a sugar lump from his mother, even though he cannot drink black coffee. He dismisses his parents' care and engages in small acts of defiance. Attempting to impress a girl, he rides a stolen motorcycle and crashes. After the accident, he finds a bill from his mother's purse in his pocket, transformed into a sugar lump. Instead of reconciling with his family, he shows it to his friends, who reject him and discard the sugar lump.
