The Duelist Kingdom semi-finals get under way, with Yuugi facing off against Mai. But Yuugi, having seen how far Yami Yuugi was prepared go in his duel with Kaiba, is afraid to trust his "other self" and becomes so focused on keeping it under control that he makes several costly errors.
