Anne receives a dress with puffed sleeves for her recitation at the Christmas concert, "Recollections," and gets over her stage fright when seeing Marilla and Matthew there. Anne gives Diana confidence before she sings The Island Hymn. Afterward, Anne and Diana praise one another, and it's revealed that Gilbert picked up a rose that had been in Anne's hair.
