Ep. 5: Anne Recovers from Injury and Prepares for Christmas Concert with Friends

Anne remembers Mr. Phillips leaving and Ruby crying, then admiring the minister’s wife’s puffed sleeves. She and friends play dares, leading Anne to climb a ladder and injure her ankle. She rests for six weeks, receiving visits and a book from Diana. Upon returning to school, she meets Ms. Stacy and eats with classmates. For the Christmas concert recitation, Anne wears a dress with puffed sleeves. Seeing Marilla and Matthew in the audience cures her stage fright. She encourages Diana to sing The Island Hymn. Afterward, Anne and Diana praise each other, and Gilbert is found with a rose from Anne’s hair. Matthew and Marilla decide she should attend Queen's Academy.
