Steins;Gate

A self-styled mad scientist named Okabe Rintarou resides in a cramped Akihabara room with two lab partners: Shiina Mayuri, a carefree childhood friend, and Hashida Itaru, a tech-savvy otaku. They spend their time working on a device called the "Phone Microwave," which can be operated via text messages. After a series of strange occurrences, they discover the device can transmit messages to the past, altering events. The story explores the implications of this power as Okabe delves into complex scientific ideas and confronts the emotional and existential toll of rewriting history. Based on a visual novel by 5pb. and Nitroplus, the narrative focuses on the consequences of manipulating time and the personal struggles that arise from it.
