Arakawa Under the Bridge

Kou Ichinomiya, a man raised to avoid debt, unexpectedly finds himself in debt to Nino, a homeless woman living by the Arakawa River who claims to be from Venus. She refuses his attempts to repay her with money or shelter, leaving him unsure how to fulfill his obligation. Nino then requests that Kou teach her about love, a challenge he accepts despite the difficulty. As a result, Kou moves in with her under the bridge, joining a group of unusual individuals who have created a community separate from mainstream Tokyo life.
