Alfred Rindt, recognized as the most powerful wizard, is injured when struck by a cursed arrow in the knee. Seeking recovery and tranquility, he retreats from public life. However, his status as a celebrated hero draws constant requests for help from the royal capital. To escape the attention and city noise, he accepts a position as a guard in a rural village.
