七美在第二天的學校生活中遇見由莉，並得知班上人氣同學矢野元春的事。

It's Nanami Takahashi's second day at her new high school and almost as soon as school starts she quickly, yet awkwardly makes two new friends in her class, like the unsociable Yuri. A girl from Asahi middle school tells her about guy named Motoharu Yano, who was very popular with the girls and happens to be in their very same class. Yuri explains that she hates Yano. 優里在班級旅行期間病倒，同時關於矢野與優里姐姐的謠言在同學間流傳。

On a class trip Yuri gets sick Nanami and Yano have a conversation about his past, and rumours begin begun spreading about Yano going out with Yuri's older sister and all the girls are now interested in it. One of the girls in their class brings an old yearbook to class and even Nanami has acquired an interest in it but she is caught by Yano, looking at the Asahi yearbook. Without thinking Nanami confesses to him but she doesn't receive an entirely clear response. 暑假期間，七海前往元春家中，發現他缺席了排練。

It is summer vacation and the whole class goes to school for the play rehearsals, but Nanami has been looking forward to going back to school and she's pretty annoyed that Motoharu doesn't turn up to any of them, she wanted to see him. Even at the summer festival, where all the girls including Nanami dress up, he doesn't turn up. So Nanami gets the idea to go to his house and see him. Yano catches her battling with herself over whether or not to ring the doorbell. Once inside, Nanami and Yano reminisce on his past with his late ex girlfriend. (Source: Wikipedia)

矢野在奈奈美謊報約會計畫以買禮物送他後，尾隨其後。

Yano asks Nanami out on a date but she blows him off, to spend time with her friends when instead she secretly went to buy him a present, but it isn't much of a secret because he follows her. Yano gets concerned because she lied about where she was going and who with, Yano's friend Takeuchi was there to help. The next day Yano is kind of mad at her but they are able to reconcile after exchanging gifts. Things are looking good between them, Nanami is able to recognize her deepening feelings for him. Yano continues to have flashbacks leaving the viewer to question the past between him and Yuri. In class, there is a seating change and this causes Nanami to question even more. (Source: Wikipedia)

七條邀請矢野週日來訪，探討他與由莉的過往，最終同意親密接觸。

Nanami invites Yano to her house Sunday so they can spend some time together. At first Yano declines because her mother will be there and that's "no good", but once in her room, Nanami uses this opportunity to ask Yano about his past with Yuri and it takes some time for him to give her answer. As Yano leaves, Nanami feels reassured with what he told her but still has the notion that it may not be the entire truth in the back of her head. It turns out that Yano's friend Takeuchi has been hiding the truth he knows. Nanami also discovers the truth through the rumors at school and she and Yano discuss that the past doesn't matter as long as they have the present together. All alone with Motoharu at his house, Nanami actually suggest that they finally "do it". Even though it seems like such a dream that dream is then cut short when Motoharu's Mom returns home and they are forced to ends things there. Without thinking Nanami steals an old picture of Motoharu together with Nana, from Yuri's knocked over bag and she's doesn't know what to do about it. But this doesn't matter, when by chance Motoharu finds the picture in Nanmi's notebook and decides to return it to Yuri. After some thinking Motoharu decides to tell Nanami all about Nana, so he invites her out. But it quickly becomes sort of like a date, when they go to see a movie to pass the time. Nanami is finally able to accept Motoharu and they get back together and as if nothing happened they return to their normal school lives. It is another day of school but that quickly comes and goes when Takeuchi is forced to go along on a double date with his classmate. Surprisingly on the date Takeuchi accepts the girl's confession and they start going out, but Motoharu is angry at him because he doesn't even like her. Nanami's parents are going to a wedding on the weekend, so she takes this opportunity to invite Motoharu to sleepover. On the day Motoharu's pretty excited about the whole thing when all of a sudden he receives a call from an upset Yuri. So instead of meeting up with Nanami he goes to be the one at Yuri's side. 竹內送七海回家，本春遭拒後病倒

Knowing that Nanami is left, hopelessly waiting for Motoharu, Takeuchi gives in to his feelings and goes to her to take her home. Motoharu is finally able to get to Nanami but by then it is too late. At school Motoharu tries to apologize but then as he is rejected he collapses from a cold. Motoharu tells Takeuchi that his Mom is getting a divorce and will be moving to Tokyo and while they're out Takeuchi feels the need to tell Motoharu that he confessed his feelings to Nanami. Christmas is already around the corner and Nanami is still worrying about a present even though she hasn't made up with Motoharu. Meanwhile Motoharu is worried about his Mom, who is going to be moving to Tokyo soon and he's even considering moving with her.
