Ginga Tetsudou 999

A ten-year-old boy named Tetsuro Hoshino survives an attack by Count Mecha, who kills his mother and leaves him for dead. He is found and revived by a woman named Maetal, who offers him a journey on the Galaxy Express 999 in exchange for his companionship. The train is known to grant passengers a mechanical body and immortality upon reaching its final destination. Seeing this as a chance for a better future, Tetsuro agrees and travels with Maetal. As the train journeys through space, Tetsuro encounters increasing dangers at each stop.
